LAS VEGAS – Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return against Max Holloway at UFC 329 ended abruptly at just 1:09 of the first round due to a knee injury, leaving fans and analysts in shock.

Holloway, who was favored to win the bout, shared his perspective on the fight, relaying that he urged the referee to stop the contest as McGregor appeared to be in distress. “During the fight, you could see his demeanor change,” Holloway observed. “When I saw him hurt, I said, ‘Call this, he’s hurt.’”
Holloway concluded by wishing McGregor a speedy recovery, highlighting the camaraderie often found in the sport despite fierce competition.
