SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old man was hospitalized following a shooting incident that occurred inside a downtown parking garage early Sunday morning, as reported by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD).

At approximately 2 a.m., police officers in the vicinity responded to the sound of gunshots and quickly entered a parking garage located in the 200 block of College Street. Upon investigation, officers discovered the young man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The injured individual was transported to a local hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. As the situation unfolded, SAPD began to look into a verbal altercation that reportedly took place just prior to the shooting, although the exact circumstances leading to the violence remain unclear.

In connection with the incident, a 20-year-old woman has been detained for further investigation. Authorities have not released her identity or details regarding her involvement in the shooting.

As the investigation continues, SAPD has not provided additional information regarding the case. The department encourages anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to assist in their inquiries.
