SAN ANTONIO – A man was hospitalized after a shooting outside a home on the Northwest Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The incident took place just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 7300 block of Corian Park Drive. This area has seen its share of community incidents, raising concerns among local residents about safety and security.
According to police reports, the 35-year-old victim heard loud music coming from outside his home and decided to step out to investigate the noise. Upon exiting, he noticed a dark-colored SUV parked nearby.
As the man approached the vehicle, he was shot by an unidentified male occupant. The suspect fled the scene immediately, leaving the victim in critical condition. First responders arrived shortly after to transport the injured man to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the San Antonio Police Department has stated that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
