BCSO: Man dead after suffering gunshot wound, found unconscious outside far West Side home

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are investigating a potential homicide following a tragic incident that occurred Wednesday night in Bexar County. A 24-year-old man, identified as Franky Garza, was found unresponsive outside a residence located in the 11800 block of Potranco Road.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene just before 11 p.m. and attempted life-saving measures. Unfortunately, these efforts were unsuccessful, and the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office later pronounced Garza dead less than 45 minutes after the initial call.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is treating the case as a homicide. Investigators are actively working to gather leads and piece together the circumstances surrounding Garza’s death. The sheriff’s office has urged anyone with information regarding this case to reach out at 210-335-6000.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding violence and safety in communities across the nation. As investigations unfold, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office aims to bring clarity and justice to this unfortunate situation.
