This strike is part of a troubling trend, as Russia has launched a series of large-scale attacks on Kyiv in recent weeks. As Ukraine grapples with a critical shortage of Patriot air defense missiles—its most effective tool for intercepting such ballistic threats—concerns mount over the country’s ability to defend itself. In a related development, U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed a willingness to grant Ukraine the necessary licenses to produce Patriot interceptor missiles, potentially enhancing Kyiv’s defensive capabilities against future assaults. However, the specifics and timeline for this initiative remain uncertain.
