Recent public records have brought to light some intriguing developments following the resignation of Congressman Tony Gonzales. Two companies, Adulting Consulting LLC and Casagrande LLC, were established shortly after Gonzales stepped down from his position. The sole registered agent for both businesses is Angel Gonzales, Tony’s wife.

Interestingly, both companies are registered at the same address in Shavano Park—a UPS store just seven minutes from the Gonzales family home. This address was also used for Gonzales’s campaign operations, raising questions about the connections between his personal and political endeavors.

From June to September 2026, Gonzales’s campaign and the Honor Courage Commitment PAC, which he sponsors, paid a total of $46,400 to these companies for various services, as reported by the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The services provided included data management, compliance, and storage, which are essential for running a political campaign.

It’s important to note that federal election laws prohibit candidates from using campaign funds for personal expenses, yet they do allow payments to family members for legitimate campaign work. These payments must reflect the fair market value of the services provided, according to FEC guidelines.

Tony Gonzales was in the race for a fourth term until he resigned amidst a scandal involving explicit text messages that surfaced publicly. Just days after his primary election results indicated a runoff, Gonzales admitted to having an affair, which ultimately led him to withdraw from the race.

Following a period of resisting calls for his resignation, Tony Gonzales stepped down from Congress in April 2026, leaving his seat vacant. His wife, Angel, who has not publicly commented on the scandal, is a veteran with a background in the Air Force and Naval Reserves. The couple has six children together, making this situation even more complex and personal.

Now, with the seat open, three candidates are competing to represent Texas’s largest congressional district, which spans from San Antonio to El Paso. The outcome of this election is highly anticipated as it will shape the political landscape in the area.
