Recent Incident at Circle K Convenience Store

On May 18, 2026, a disturbing incident occurred at a Circle K convenience store located on Potranco Road in San Antonio. Three suspects confronted a 17-year-old student from Stevens High School during his lunch break. The situation escalated quickly, leading to serious charges against the suspects.

The Encounter

According to police reports, the student was approached by three individuals, one of whom displayed a firearm. The suspect, identified as Notario, allegedly demanded, “Give me everything you got.” When the student replied that he had nothing, he was reportedly pistol-whipped in the face.

After the alleged attack, the suspects walked away for reasons that remain unclear, allowing the student to return to campus. Upon reaching school, a friend helped him report the incident to the police.

Investigation and Arrests

The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), along with the Northside Independent School District (NISD) police and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), quickly investigated the incident. They tracked down the suspects at a nearby apartment complex and took them into custody.

Court records reveal that grand juries indicted Notario and another suspect, Saenz, on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Possible Links to Other Crimes

Interestingly, the victim claimed to have previously considered one of the suspects, Zertuche, a close friend. This connection raises questions about the motive behind the assault. Furthermore, SAPD is investigating whether these suspects are linked to similar crimes in the area.

Reportedly, Zertuche was also involved in a separate robbery at North Star Mall just a day before the Circle K incident. This alleged crime involved him physically assaulting another teenager and stealing jewelry.

Court Proceedings

As of now, Notario, Saenz, and Zertuche are each facing multiple felony charges, with their cases being processed in various Bexar County courts. Notario is expected to have a hearing on July 20, while the other suspects are awaiting further legal proceedings.

The outcome of these cases will be closely monitored by the community, as they highlight serious issues regarding safety, peer relationships, and the consequences of criminal behavior among teenagers.
