SAN ANTONIO – A family is reaching out for your help.

On April 24, 2023, a tragic incident claimed the life of 37-year-old Joseph Haro due to a hit-and-run. The San Antonio Police Department has been investigating the case, but as of now, no arrests have been made.

The accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Medina Base Road and the Loop 410 access road. Witnesses described it as a devastating event that has left Joseph’s family in deep sorrow.

“It was a crime,” expressed Sandra Haro, Joseph’s sister. “You don’t just hit a person and leave them to die.” Her words reflect the anger and frustration that many feel in situations like this where justice seems delayed.

Sandra remembered her brother fondly, describing him as “loving and caring.” She emphasized the role he played in their family, saying, “He was the light of our family. I want him to be remembered as a good brother, a good son, a good father, and a best friend to everybody.”

The police have stated that whoever is responsible for hitting Joseph will face charges for collision involving injury. This emphasizes the serious nature of the act and the responsibilities that come with driving.

If you have any information regarding the incident, you are encouraged to report it to the San Antonio Police Department. Your help could be crucial in bringing justice to Joseph’s family.
