SAN ANTONIO – Recently, a man named John Luis Quintero, 38, was arrested by police in the Stone Oak area for his connection to a series of burglaries that have reportedly cost victims millions of dollars.
Quintero faces a charge of criminal mischief, which is classified as a state jail felony and carries potential consequences for damages estimated between $2,500 and $30,000. This charge stems from an incident on July 2, where he was observed throwing rocks at the back patio windows of a home in the Champions Run subdivision. The homeowner estimated the damage to be around $2,500.
Quintero’s arrest is part of a larger investigation involving at least 14 residential burglaries reported in the neighborhood from February to July. These burglaries have led to significant losses, including large amounts of cash and jewelry taken from various homes.
According to police reports, two anonymous sources identified Quintero as a suspect in these crimes. One of these sources even provided digital communications that helped detectives confirm his involvement.
Quintero’s background includes prior offenses such as kidnapping and aggravated robbery, which raises concerns about his potential threat to the community.
