SAN ANTONIO – A man was arrested recently for allegedly making threats against U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) officers. This incident occurred on the North Side of San Antonio and has raised concerns about the safety of public servants.

Josue David Pineda Munoz, 20, now faces a charge of terroristic threat against a public servant, which is categorized as a third-degree felony. This charge highlights the seriousness of making threats against law enforcement officials.

The situation unfolded on June 28, when four ICE officers were stationed in front of their facility located on Jackson Keller Road. As they were performing their duties, they noticed a red Honda CR-V driving past.

As the vehicle passed, a clear plastic bottle was thrown in the direction of the officers. The car then made a U-turn and approached the officers again. This time, Munoz was seen holding what appeared to be a dark object aimed at the officers.

Initially, the officers felt they were in immediate danger, suspecting they might be facing a firearm. However, one officer soon realized that the dark object was actually a cellphone, which changed the context of the situation.

Throughout the incident, Munoz drove past the officers multiple times, and during one of those passes, he reportedly yelled profanities and threatened, “B**** I’ll shoot you.” This aggressive behavior was taken seriously by the officers, who managed to identify Munoz through various pieces of evidence, including his vehicle’s license plate.

After the incident, Munoz was taken into custody and booked at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, where he was held on a $25,000 bond. This case serves as a reminder of the potential dangers faced by public servants and the importance of maintaining respect for law enforcement.
