SAN ANTONIO – In a concerning incident on Saturday evening, two men posing as law enforcement officers broke into a home in the Southeast Side of San Antonio. This alarming event highlights the importance of recognizing genuine authority figures and ensuring personal safety.
The break-in occurred around 6 p.m. in the 8400 block of Aloe Vera Trace. A female resident reported that the two suspects smashed a rear window to enter her home. They claimed to be law enforcement, but the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) confirmed that they have no ties to any legitimate law enforcement agency.
According to the BCSO, the suspects were last seen leaving the scene in what appeared to be a copper or bronze-colored SUV. The vehicle had medium-tinted windows and black rims, which could help identify it. Interestingly, the rear license plate was reportedly covered with a plastic bag, raising further suspicions.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone who may have video footage of the suspects’ vehicle to reach out to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000. This is a vital step in assisting law enforcement to track down these individuals and ensure the safety of the community.
It’s crucial to remember that if someone claims to be a police officer, individuals have the right to ask for identification. Always prioritize safety and verify the identity of anyone who tries to enter your home. This incident serves as a reminder to stay vigilant and aware of your surroundings.
