SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are reaching out for help regarding a serious incident that occurred downtown. Crime Stoppers is actively seeking information to identify the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

The tragic crash took place around 1 a.m. on February 6, 2026. It happened on Interstate 35 South, in the northbound lanes near Cesar Chavez Boulevard.

Reports indicate that a vehicle struck a pedestrian named Quinton Simmons, who sadly did not survive the impact. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to help and fled the scene, which is a serious offense.

Quinton Simmons was pronounced dead at the scene, marking a tragic loss for his family and friends.
