SAN ANTONIO – A troubling incident has surfaced involving a 24-year-old man, Liam Malik McCormick, who is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. This alarming case underscores the importance of safety, especially for young people interacting on social media.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, McCormick has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of two or more victims, as confirmed by Bexar County court records. The affidavit details allegations that McCormick sexually assaulted three victims, all aged between 13 and 15, over a troubling three-year span.
In a concerning development, McCormick met one of his alleged victims, a 15-year-old girl, on Snapchat. He misrepresented his age, claiming to be 17. The affidavit states that he tracked the girl’s location via the app and arranged to meet her at Six Flags Fiesta Texas on October 11, 2026, where he allegedly assaulted her during an amusement park ride.
Following the incident, the teenager underwent a forensic interview on October 28, providing a detailed account of the assault. She further informed investigators that McCormick had been pursuing other younger individuals at her school, raising concerns about his predatory behavior.
Investigators have also uncovered two additional sexual assault cases linked to McCormick. One case was reported to the Dallas Police Department in May 2023, and another was filed with the Abilene Police Department in August 2024. In these incidents, McCormick reportedly used a similar method: connecting with victims through social media before driving to meet them and subsequently assaulting them.
As of now, McCormick is being held on a bond of $200,000, according to Bexar County records. This case highlights the critical need for vigilance in online interactions, especially among youth, and emphasizes the importance of reporting suspicious behavior to authorities.
The ongoing investigation serves as a reminder for parents, educators, and guardians to monitor social media usage and educate young individuals about the potential dangers present in online interactions.
