SAN ANTONIO – Recently, two individuals were arrested after an incident at Rocky’s Taco House, a popular restaurant on the South Side of San Antonio. This event, which occurred on September 28, has raised concerns about safety in local dining establishments.
The police reported that the incident took place around 10:30 a.m. at the restaurant located at 2423 Pleasanton Road. A man and a woman had finished their meal but decided to leave without paying. An employee of the restaurant noticed this and followed them to a nearby bus stop, asking them to settle their bill.
Unfortunately, the situation escalated when the two individuals allegedly attacked the employee. They reportedly punched her in the nose and stomach before fleeing the scene. This has highlighted not only the challenges faced by restaurant workers but also the importance of addressing such violent behavior.
The suspects, Jovon Paxton and Larry Diaz III, have been charged with second-degree felony robbery. Bexar County court records reveal that Paxton was arrested on October 13, while Diaz was taken into custody on October 27. Their arrests have brought some relief to the community, but many are still concerned about safety in public spaces.
As of now, Paxton is being held on a bond of $30,000, while Diaz’s bond is set at $25,000. The restaurant employee’s recovery is being monitored, as she faces the physical and emotional toll of the attack.
This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by service workers and the importance of community vigilance. It also emphasizes the need for ongoing discussions about safety and respect in our neighborhoods. For more updates on this situation, keep an eye on local news sources.
