SAN ANTONIO – Get ready for some spooky fun because Zoo Boo! is back at the San Antonio Zoo, celebrating 40 years of Halloween excitement!
This year’s event is already in full swing and will run until November 1. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a festive outing filled with Halloween-themed activities.
A highlight of this year’s celebrations is the introduction of a brand new festival called Fiesta de Los Muertos. Inspired by the traditional Mexican holiday, this festival promises a colorful experience featuring cultural art, live performances, and much more.
At Fiesta de Los Muertos, guests can explore enchanting areas like Plaza de los Recuerdos. Here, they can cross the Marigold Bridge and visit the Ofrenda de Animales, which is a special tribute honoring animals that have passed away. This blend of fun and cultural awareness makes the event not only enjoyable but also meaningful.
Zoo Boo! also features daily trick-or-treating from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., with six treat stations scattered throughout the zoo. It’s a great way for kids to gather some Halloween goodies while exploring the zoo.
On Halloween night itself, the zoo will stay open until 9 p.m., offering special activities throughout the day and into the evening. It’s an excellent way to celebrate the spooky holiday with family and friends.
Best of all, Zoo Boo! is included with a standard zoo admission ticket, and it’s free for San Antonio Zoo members, making it accessible for everyone to join in on the fun.
