On the offensive side, all three of the Dodgers’ hits resulted in runs. Tucker made a significant impact early in the game, leading off the second inning by driving a fastball from Reds pitcher Nick Lodolo (3-5) into the right-field stands for his third home run in just five games. Later, after walking in the fourth inning, Tucker saw Hernández send a powerful shot to right-center, further extending the Dodgers’ lead. Kiké Hernández added another run with an RBI single in the seventh, emphasizing the team’s efficiency at capitalizing on scoring opportunities.
Despite the loss, Cincinnati’s Elly de la Cruz provided a highlight moment for Reds fans, hitting a towering 457-foot homer in the ninth inning off Evan Phillips. This impressive blast was not only the longest homer by a Cincinnati player this season but also the longest recorded at Great American Ballpark in 2023.
Looking ahead, the Dodgers are set to send right-handed pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto (13-8, 2.62 ERA) to the mound on Tuesday, while the Reds will counter with left-hander Rhett Lowder (6-10, 5.81 ERA).
