SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs fans will have a unique opportunity to engage with their favorite team before the regular season kicks off.

The Spurs have announced a free open scrimmage scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, at the Frost Bank Center. This event is designed to give fans an up-close look at the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.

During the scrimmage, the Silver and Black will play four 10-minute quarters, allowing fans to witness the team’s dynamics and strategies firsthand. It’s an exciting chance for supporters to see how the squad is shaping up ahead of their regular season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 20.

While tickets for this event are free, they are limited in availability. Fans eager to attend must join the official Spurs Fan Club. This can be done by visiting Spurs.com/OpenScrimmage or by texting SCRIMMAGE to 210-444-5940. It’s important to note that both new and existing members must enter for a chance to win tickets.

The deadline to enter is set for 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, with winners announced the following day. Each fan has the opportunity to win up to four free tickets, subject to availability.

For current season ticket holders, there’s no need to enter the lottery; they can claim their tickets directly through their account. This provides a straightforward way for dedicated fans to secure their spots.

Additionally, parking will be complimentary in Lots 1-7, making it easier for fans to attend the event. Doors will open at 5 p.m., allowing ample time for fans to find their seats and soak in the pre-scrimmage atmosphere.

This open scrimmage represents a collaborative effort by the Spurs to foster community engagement and build excitement for the upcoming NBA season. With the combination of free admission and the chance to see the team in action, it’s an event that Spurs fans won’t want to miss!
