SAN ANTONIO – Recently, San Antonio police apprehended a young man involved in an attempted burglary after an unexpected turn of events. The suspect, identified as Noah James Davidson, is just 20 years old, while the resident he allegedly targeted is a remarkable 75 years old.

The incident took place on July 16, when Davidson was found trying to break into homes in the 30 block of Fonthill Way, near the intersection of Austin Highway and Harry Wurzbach Road. Reports indicate that he was also damaging a vehicle in the area, prompting multiple calls to the police.

When the police arrived, they discovered that the resident had defended himself, resulting in Davidson being stabbed multiple times. Although the exact weapon used remains unclear, it’s reported that Davidson suffered life-threatening injuries and was subsequently taken to a local hospital.

After receiving medical treatment, Davidson was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. He has since been charged with burglary of habitation with intent to commit a felony, a serious first-degree felony. Davidson was able to post a $50,000 bond just six days after the incident.

As of now, it’s uncertain whether the 75-year-old resident will face any charges related to the stabbing. The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) has stated that their investigation is still ongoing, emphasizing the complexities surrounding self-defense cases.

Davidson is expected to make his next court appearance on October 15, where further legal proceedings will take place. This incident raises important conversations about self-defense and the responsibilities that come with it, especially in our communities.
