Man shot multiple times while sitting in vehicle on North Side, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot multiple times while sitting in a vehicle on the North Side, San Antonio police reported on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of East Sonterra Boulevard, which is near the access road for U.S. Highway 281.

According to police, a group of individuals in another vehicle approached the man and unleashed a barrage of at least 12 gunshots before fleeing the scene.

The victim, identified as a 26-year-old man, was struck at least five times. His current condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities are looking into whether the shooting was a targeted attack, but further details remain unclear at this time.
