Unlike typical haunted houses that only open during Halloween, this one operates all year, providing thrill-seekers with immersive storytelling, live actors, and theatrical scares. Set inside the fictional Restful Sleep Hotel, guests become part of a paranormal investigation, navigating through dimly lit hallways and encountering mysterious spirits. Created by Phillips Entertainment, the attraction emphasizes practical effects, detailed set designs, and interactive performances that keep visitors on edge.

Tickets start at $29.99, and locals can take advantage of a buy one, get one free promotion running through July 31. This attraction is recommended for older children and adults in search of a suspenseful and highly immersive adventure right in the heart of downtown San Antonio.

San Antonio International Airport is enhancing its dining options to showcase some of the city’s most celebrated chefs and culinary concepts. Approximately 75% of the airport’s food and beverage program features local flavors, allowing travelers to enjoy a taste of San Antonio whether they’re departing or arriving. Recently, Texas Eats NOW highlighted three newly introduced concepts led by renowned chefs Jason Dady, Elizabeth Johnson, and Johnny Hernandez.

Travelers in Terminal A can look forward to Tuscan-inspired pizzas from Tre Pizzeria, healthy meals from Pharm Table, and regional dishes at Southtown Market. Existing favorites like 2M Smokehouse, Bakery Lorraine, and The Tasting Room continue to solidify the airport’s mission of creating a true sense of place by transforming the traditional food court into a vibrant showcase of San Antonio’s culinary scene.

Honey’s Chicken Joint

Opened in 2025 near Fort Sam Houston, Honey’s Chicken Joint aims to deliver serious bone-in chicken to the San Antonio area. Drawing inspiration from Southern cuisine, the restaurant features a cozy dining room decorated with weathered chairs and enamel pots, encapsulating a small-town Southern vibe.

The menu focuses on bone-in combo meals and fried tenders, with chicken sandwiches accompanied by honey butter-drenched drop biscuits. Combo meals come with choices of Southern-style sides like slaw, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and mac ‘n’ cheese. Bone-in orders are served with white gravy, while tenders can be paired with ranch, house honey mustard, or an exceptional Mississippi comeback sauce.

King William Wine Company

King William Wine Co. is a chef-driven restaurant and wine bar nestled inside the Blue Star Arts Complex in San Antonio’s historic Southtown neighborhood. Recognized as one of San Antonio’s Best New Restaurants by both the San Antonio Express-News and San Antonio Magazine, the establishment was founded by Juan and Jill Arreguin. Their concept marries classical European cooking techniques with a remarkable wine selection.

The food menu features refined, shareable plates, with the bouillabaisse being a standout dish, served with a full lobster tail, New Zealand mussels, clams, and cod loin. The wine program emphasizes Champagne and classic Old World wines, with a carefully curated cellar that includes grower Champagnes and selections from small producers. The venue also hosts Sunday Afternoon Tea, private wine dinners, and a gourmet market, providing an experience designed for lingering and celebrating.
