SEGUIN, Texas – A shooting suspect is currently barricaded with three children in Seguin, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office. This alarming situation unfolded on Monday night and has left the community on edge.

The incident reportedly originated from a “road rage” altercation that began on Interstate 10. The sheriff’s office received the first 911 call around 4 p.m., where witnesses indicated that a man had been following the suspect and his wife from San Antonio to the suspect’s residence on Old Seguin Luling Road.

Upon arriving at the home, the suspect allegedly fired multiple shots at the man’s vehicle, resulting in the victim sustaining a graze wound to the head. The injured individual was subsequently hospitalized, highlighting the serious nature of the confrontation.

Following the shooting, the suspect dropped his wife off at their home and then took his three children to a location where he barricaded himself in the 200 block of East Pine Street, which is approximately five miles from the initial scene.
