SAN ANTONIO – If you’re searching for a fun day out without spending a fortune, the Pearl is a fantastic spot that offers a range of free and low-cost activities throughout the week. Best of all, getting there is easier than you might think!

Before you jump into the fun, there’s one thing you should keep in mind: parking. While finding a parking spot can often be a hassle in many cities, the Pearl makes it manageable with a bit of planning. Parking is typically free from Monday to Friday before 3 p.m., and you can always find 30-minute free parking, including in the Pullman Market lot and Koehler Garage.

Once you’re parked and ready to explore, you’ll discover a world of activities waiting for you!

The Pearl hosts several recurring free events each week that cater to a wide range of interests. If you’re a movie buff, you won’t want to miss Free Movie Mondays. For those who love to dance, Free Two-Step Tuesdays at Stable Hall is the perfect opportunity to show off your moves.

On Two-Step Tuesdays, from 7 to 9 p.m., you can enjoy free country dance lessons led by professional instructors, followed by live music. No experience is required, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner!

As the week progresses, another community favorite, the Wednesday Night Market, takes place. This vibrant event allows visitors to stroll through the market, browse local vendors, and soak in the lively atmosphere—all for free!

If you’re looking for a way to cool off during the hot Texas days, the Pearl’s splash pad is a fantastic, free option for families. Open daily from 9 a.m. to either 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., it provides a refreshing break from the heat.

And what’s a day out without some good food? While not entirely free, you can grab a quick bite without breaking the bank. For instance, at WonderSlice, a delicious slice of pizza costs about $6.50, and bottled water is priced at $3.50—making it an affordable choice for a casual meal.

For those who enjoy live music, you’ll be pleased to know that Otto’s Ice House offers free live performances on their patio from Thursday through Sunday, providing a great way to unwind.
