Lil Wayne adds San Antonio performance with expansion of ‘Tha Carter’ anniversary tour

SAN ANTONIO – Hip-hop fans in San Antonio have something to look forward to this fall as the legendary Lil Wayne is set to perform at the Frost Bank Center. This concert is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, and it promises to be an unforgettable night.

This performance is part of a special tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Lil Wayne’s iconic “Tha Carter” album series. According to Live Nation, these albums have produced some of the most memorable hits in hip-hop history, earning multiple platinum certifications and breaking numerous records.

Lil Wayne, a New Orleans native, has made a significant impact on the music industry. He is a five-time Grammy Award winner, with three of those awards coming from his critically acclaimed album, “Tha Carter III.” This album is often hailed as one of his most successful works and a pivotal moment in hip-hop.

Even after more than 25 years in the game, Lil Wayne continues to be a dominant force in hip-hop. He remains active by releasing new music and collaborating with various artists. His influence extends beyond his own career; he has shaped the paths of many rising stars through his label, Young Money Entertainment.

In addition to his San Antonio stop, the tour also includes a performance at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on August 27, featuring special guest 2 Chainz. Additionally, Lil Wayne will be joined by The Game at select shows, promising a lineup that hip-hop enthusiasts won’t want to miss.

For those eager to attend, presale tickets will be available for Citi cardmembers starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by an artist presale at noon. General ticket sales will kick off at 10 a.m. on Friday through Ticketmaster and the Frost Bank Center’s website.
