SACRAMENTO, Calif. – In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Victor Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to a commanding 132-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. The young star, known for his exceptional height and agility, contributed 18 points and eight rebounds, showcasing his prowess on both ends of the court.

Wembanyama, who demonstrated his shooting versatility by going 7 of 14 from the field, including two successful 3-pointers, also added three assists to his stat line. This win marked the Spurs’ first victory in Sacramento in over two years, a notable achievement that reflects their improvement throughout the season.

In addition to Wembanyama’s contributions, former Kings player De’Aaron Fox added 15 points, five rebounds, and six assists for San Antonio. Keldon Johnson also had a strong outing, scoring 18 points, while Dylan Harper contributed 15 points to the team’s success.

The Spurs improved their record to 51-18 with this victory, having won eight of their last nine games. They have also shown remarkable resilience on the second half of back-to-back games, now boasting an 11-3 record in such situations.

For the Kings, Maxime Raynaud stood out with a strong performance, scoring 32 points and grabbing nine rebounds, while Doug McDermott added 12 points to the team’s efforts. Despite their recent momentum, with four wins in their last five games, Sacramento struggled to keep pace with the Spurs on this night.

In a notable moment, Russell Westbrook recorded 10 assists, moving past NBA legends Mark Jackson and Steve Nash into fifth place on the all-time assists list. His experience and playmaking ability were crucial in orchestrating the Spurs’ offensive plays.

The game was largely one-sided, with the Spurs leading by as much as 41 points in the third quarter. They excelled from beyond the arc, sinking 25 of 49 3-point attempts, which significantly contributed to their victory. By halftime, San Antonio had established a 31-point lead, effectively securing their dominance in the game.

Looking ahead, the Spurs will aim to maintain their momentum as they prepare for their next game. The Jazz will host the Suns on Thursday, while the Kings will look to rebound against the 76ers on the same night.
