Suspect arrested, man hospitalized after stabbing at Uvalde Memorial Park, police say

UVALDE, Texas – Recently, a serious incident took place in Uvalde, leading to the arrest of a suspect and hospitalization of a victim following a stabbing.

The Uvalde Police Department reported that officers were called to Uvalde Memorial Park, located at 376 East Main Street, around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, they discovered that two men had engaged in a heated argument that escalated into violence.

According to police, the altercation began over a woman, which is unfortunately not an uncommon trigger for conflicts among friends or acquaintances. During this confrontation, one of the men allegedly grabbed a weapon and stabbed the other.

First responders quickly treated the victim at the scene before airlifting him to a hospital in San Antonio for further medical attention. Thankfully, he is receiving the care he needs.

Meanwhile, police conducted interviews with witnesses and gathered crucial information that led to locating the suspect. He was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Currently, the identity of the suspect has not been made public.
