FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

FORECAST

Tropical Storm Edouard is on its way to making landfall today, hitting areas between Houston and Beaumont. This storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall in a specific corridor as it moves north along the I-45 corridor. For those in San Antonio, the forecast remains hot and mostly dry, with highs reaching the upper 90s. However, there’s a slight chance of a few showers popping up in our eastern counties this afternoon and again on Wednesday.

The heaviest rainfall over the next few days will be along and east of I-45.

As we look ahead, a minor adjustment to the forecast is expected for later this week. Although Edouard will weaken as it heads north, some of its remaining energy and moisture could drift southwest toward San Antonio. This means we might see a few passing showers on Thursday and Friday. Luckily, this moisture will be moving quickly, so while rain is possible, flooding shouldn’t be a major concern.

Looking further ahead, the Labor Day weekend is shaping up to be hot and dry. Expect temperatures to soar into the upper 90s with mostly sunny skies all around.
