San Antonio has officially gone 26 days without measurable rainfall, a remarkable streak for the area. Additionally, the heat has been intense, with three consecutive days hitting 100°F or more. It’s expected that these conditions will persist into next week, with today’s high reaching around 102°F. The humidity is slightly elevated, pushing the heat index—what it feels like—to near 105°F. For those living east of San Antonio, it’s even hotter, prompting a Heat Advisory in those regions.
Heat Advisories have been posted for areas east of I-35.

ENERGY DEMAND
While this extreme heat can be tough for many Texans, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) expects to meet demand without issues. They will continue monitoring the situation closely to ensure everyone stays powered up during this challenging weather.

LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES
In exciting news, a local team, Boerne, is competing in the Little League World Series! They will be playing in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, this Friday. While it will still be warm there, it won’t compare to the sweltering heat we’re experiencing in Texas. Good luck, Boerne!
