EUGENE, Ore. – In a remarkable achievement, Tate Taylor, a standout athlete from San Antonio and Harlan High School, made history at the World Under-20 Championships by becoming the first American to clinch the sprint double. He accomplished this feat by winning the men’s 200-meter final with an impressive time of 19.83 seconds.

Displaying exceptional speed and technique, Taylor dominated the race, finishing nearly half a second ahead of his nearest competitor with a margin of 0.48 seconds. This victory not only solidified his status as a top-tier sprinter but also broke the championship record for the event.
