SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man has been charged with murder following a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday evening. This serious crime has raised concerns about road rage incidents, which have been increasingly prevalent in urban areas.

The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Harvey Harris, was arrested without any issues by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD). The police report indicates that officers responded to a shooting call just before 5:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of East Southcross Boulevard, near South W.W. White Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a 40-year-old man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed.

Authorities reported that the shooting was linked to a road rage incident. In a surprising twist, Harris returned to the scene after the shooting and was subsequently taken into custody.

Harris has been officially charged with murder, classified as a first-degree felony, based on the severity of the crime. In addition to this grave charge, he is also facing an unrelated misdemeanor charge for cruelty to a non-livestock animal that dates back to June 18.

Court records reveal that the total bond set for Harris on both charges amounts to $300,000, highlighting the seriousness with which the authorities are treating this case.

SAPD is continuing its investigation into this tragic event, emphasizing the need for community awareness regarding road rage and its potential consequences.
