DEL RIO, Texas – In a shocking incident on Thursday, Del Rio police arrested three young women in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old woman who was fatally stabbed.
The Del Rio Police Department confirmed the arrests of Kitty Mia Diaz, 21; Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19; and Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, through a social media announcement on Friday.

The police received a call shortly after 2 p.m. regarding a stabbing victim who had been taken to the Val Verde Regional Medical Center. The attack reportedly occurred in the 800 block of East 10th Street in Del Rio.
After being stabilized, the victim was urgently transported to a hospital in the San Antonio area for further emergency treatment, as confirmed by the police.
In a quick response, investigators reviewed surveillance footage, spoke with witnesses, and collected evidence. By around 4 p.m., police apprehended Kitty Mia Diaz and Amaya Cookie Diaz, with Kyandra Renee Faz being arrested shortly after.
Once the suspects were booked at the Del Rio Police Department, they learned that the victim had sadly been pronounced dead later that evening at the San Antonio hospital. As a result, all three women were charged with murder.
Authorities have indicated that further charges may be forthcoming, and the investigation is ongoing, as they continue to gather more details about this tragic event.
