Affidavit: Woman accused of robbing two Knicks fans at knifepoint after NBA Championship game

SAN ANTONIO – A woman named Abcdee Rodriguez, 30, has been arrested for allegedly robbing two fans of the New York Knicks following an NBA Championship game. This incident took place on June 14 and has raised concerns about safety during sports celebrations.

According to court documents, Rodriguez faces two charges of aggravated robbery. The affidavit details that she, along with three other suspects, confronted the two victims and demanded they surrender their Knicks apparel. Disturbingly, Rodriguez was reported to be armed with a knife during the encounter.

The victims were not only robbed but also assaulted before the group fled the scene in a vehicle. Fortunately, they managed to take a photo of the getaway car, which later aided in identifying the suspects.

Rodriguez was identified through a photo lineup and has been booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. She was given a bond set at $200,000, but has since been released.

This incident highlights the importance of safety during public events, especially in the aftermath of a significant sporting event. Authorities are continuing their investigation as they work to address such violent acts. It’s crucial for fans to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior during celebrations.
