BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A tragic incident has left a West Side community in shock after a man was found dead and a woman injured inside a home.

On Tuesday, deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Cactus Plum Drive near Mayan Ranch. Concern arose when a family member could not reach their relatives.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 22-year-old man deceased inside the home. A woman in her 60s was found with injuries. Sheriff Javier Salazar reported that the woman was having difficulty communicating and was somewhat combative with the deputies.

She was transported to the hospital, but there has been no further update on her condition.

Residents in the area are understandably shaken by the news. Emily Musella, a local resident, mentioned that some neighbors are joking about moving away, indicating a sense of fear and concern about safety in the neighborhood.

Another resident, Nadia Alston, described the community as very family-oriented and noted that the peaceful atmosphere has been disrupted.

Authorities are actively searching for a person of interest in this case, identified as Anthony Wayne Neasham, 65. Witnesses reported seeing him leave the residence on the morning of the incident.

Neasham was last seen driving a green 2005 Toyota Highlander, which has distinctive paw print stickers on the back and a camouflage-patterned hood.

A gun was recovered from the home, leading investigators to believe that Neasham may be armed and dangerous.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information regarding Neasham’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000.
