Multiple people killed after fiery wrong-way crash on Loop 410, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A tragic wrong-way crash occurred early Sunday morning on Southwest Loop 410, resulting in the deaths of all occupants in two vehicles, according to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD).

At approximately 5:30 a.m., police received a report of a wrong-way driver in the 13000 block of Southwest Loop 410 eastbound. Unfortunately, while officers were en route to the reported incident, a second call indicating a collision was received.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two vehicles engulfed in flames. Despite the rapid response, all occupants of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. The exact number of victims has yet to be confirmed, as SAPD continues to gather information on the incident.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the victims or the cause of the crash. The investigation into this devastating event is ongoing, and police encourage anyone with information to come forward.
