COMAL COUNTY, Texas – A tragic discovery was made on Tuesday in the Guadalupe River, where authorities reported finding the body of an unidentified woman. This finding occurred during a planned search for Juliet Elizabeth Watson, a 59-year-old woman who has been missing since May 26.

According to a news release from the City of New Braunfels, the body was located around 6 p.m. near the 700 block of Rusk Lane, an area that has seen extensive search efforts over the past week aimed at locating Watson. While there is a possibility that the body could belong to Watson, officials have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains.

In light of this discovery, the body has been transferred to the Comal County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification purposes. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death remains ongoing, with the New Braunfels Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division leading the inquiry.
