FORECAST

TODAY

Good morning, everyone! If you’re in San Antonio, you might have noticed some storms rolled through last night, bringing our monthly rainfall total to over 4 inches at the San Antonio International Airport. Today, the radar looks pretty calm, which means we get a brief break from the rain. While there’s still a chance (about 30%) of isolated storms popping up this afternoon, it won’t be as widespread as the last few days.

Small shot at storms later today

TONIGHT

As we move into tonight, we’ll need to keep an eye on what’s happening to our west. Some weather activity could potentially drift into our area overnight. Although the chances are lower than in previous days, we can’t completely rule it out.

⚠ HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE SATURDAY ⚠

Looking ahead to Saturday, an upper low will be moving through, which means rain chances will increase significantly. With this kind of weather pattern, storms could pop up just about anywhere, making it tricky to predict where the heaviest rain will fall. A Flood Watch has been issued for most of the area, effective from tonight through Monday. However, we are primarily concerned about flooding on Saturday afternoon. Keep in mind that it won’t be raining all day; instead, we can expect scattered storms.

Future radar for Saturday evening (5/23)
A flood watch has been issued for tonight through Monday, with the main window for heavy rainfall being on Saturday.

SUNDAY & MONDAY

If you have outdoor plans for the Memorial Day weekend, you’re in luck! We expect quieter weather on Sunday and Monday. While a few isolated storms might still develop, they will mainly be driven by the afternoon heat. The chances of rain are about 30% on Sunday, and even lower on Memorial Day.
