SAN ANTONIO – A principal at a middle school in San Antonio has recently found himself in a tough situation after being arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI). The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, and jail records confirm that he failed a breathalyzer test, leading to his arrest for a Class B misdemeanor.

After being taken into custody, he was booked at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. Fortunately for him, he was released on bond later that day, around 2:30 p.m.

The principal, named Vanlanham, has been leading E.M. Pease Middle School, which is part of the Northside Independent School District (NISD), since last summer. His educational journey in San Antonio began in 2013, showcasing that he has spent nearly a decade in the local education system.

This incident raises important discussions about responsibility, especially for individuals in leadership roles like school principals. It serves as a reminder that everyone, regardless of their position, must be accountable for their actions, particularly when it comes to safety on the road.
