SAN ANTONIO – Ready to make a splash this summer? San Antonio is kicking off the season early! The city’s Parks and Recreation Department is opening seven outdoor pools just in time for Memorial Day weekend, giving residents a perfect way to cool off.

Starting May 23, these pools will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 1-7 p.m. Plus, they’ll be open on Memorial Day with the same hours, so grab your friends and family for some fun in the sun!

Here’s a quick rundown of the pools that will be open across San Antonio:

To celebrate the opening of the outdoor pool season, the city is hosting a free screening of the classic 1975 film “Jaws” on Sunday, May 24, at Woodlawn Lake Pool. This is a great chance to enjoy a movie under the stars!

The film will start at 8:30 p.m., and it’s first-come, first-served—no registration needed! So, make sure to arrive early to grab a good spot.

If you’re into swimming for fitness, Woodlawn Lake Pool also offers lap swim and aqua fitness sessions from Tuesday to Friday, 7:30-9:30 a.m. It’s a perfect way to stay active while enjoying the water.

Best of all, all pools are free to the public! Just remember to wear appropriate swimwear. Note that children under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult for safety.

And if you’re looking for more ways to cool off, the city’s splash pads are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., also free for everyone!

So, get your swimsuits ready, gather your friends, and enjoy the fun this summer in San Antonio!
