SAN ANTONIO – A body was discovered after firefighters in San Antonio responded to a small brush fire on the Southeast Side Saturday morning, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The fire crews were called to the scene shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Rigsby Avenue. This area is known for its mix of residential and commercial properties, making it a busy part of the city.

As the firefighters worked to put out the flames, they discovered what appeared to be a body wrapped in various materials, which had likely been set on fire. This alarming find prompted the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) to contact the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) for further investigation.

At this time, police have not released any information regarding the identity of the victim or any potential suspects involved. The circumstances surrounding how the body ended up at the location remain unclear, leaving many questions unanswered for the community.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to gather more information. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and report any suspicious activity to help keep their neighborhoods safe.
